6:57 pm	Spanish at New York Times Hello again! Yesterday I was checking www.balazos.com, this blog belongs to a guy who was my teacher of Writing Style a few years ago. He is journalist and I really like how he writtes. I'm sorry no one of you can enjoy to read his blog because it's in spanish, but I want to share with you something that he posted recently. It cames from an article at the New York Times about Madrid. It's a sort list of popular words/slang in spanish, their meaning and how you should pronunce them if you're a english speaker. Guay (gwhy) Cool. Cojonudo (ko-ho-NOO-doh) Better than cool. Me mola (may MO-la) Love it! Alucino (ah-lu-THEE-no) Can't believe it! Paso (PAH-so) Couldn't care less. Juerguista (hwer-GHEE-stah) Party animal. Cutre (KOO-tray) Seedy, lacking class. Sometimes used affectionately, as in, “Sometimes the most cutre places serve the best tapas.” Ligar (lee-GAR) To pick up someone. Hortera (or-TER-ah) Flashy, tacky, kitschy. Fashion (FASH-yohn) Trendy, obsessed with the latest. Used as an adjective, not necessarily related to clothing, as in, “The people who hang out in Chueca are really fashion.” Gente guapa (HEN-tay GWA-pah) Beautiful people. Pijo (PEE-ho) A posh and conservative type, as in, “That party at the golf club was crawling with pijos.” It's funny for me thinking this was published at an american newspaper, I love how small and big can be the world at the same time. I don't know if any of them can be used at South America countries, but I assure you that all of them are very useful in Spain!! 10:20 pm	[Manips] KeiMin pictures I've decide do something useful with my lj diary. Well, my english isn't good enough for writting fics so I didn't know what to put here. I promised in landofchangta to make some manips of Changmin from DBSK and Keita form Lead, I mean, for the "KeiMin pairing fans" (specially for soloscrywho created the couple, I luv ya girl!!!!). Then, I've decided posting them here. I have to say that I'm still learning how photoshop works, but this is a funny way to learn practicing.
